A part of the Cavalla River, which forms the border of the Ivory Coast, is accessible. Other important rivers are Lofa, St. Paul, St. John, and Cestos. The president is elected for an 8-year term and can be re-elected for an unlimited number of years. Senators are elected for six years and representatives for four years.
