She threw him out shortly afterward, but the two made up and enjoyed a surprisingly touching relationship. Meanwhile, Danielle's Joy Lauren promiscuous ways led to a dangerous relationship with Matthew Applewhite Mehcad Brooks and Danielle getting knocked up, which Bree concealed by pretending to be pregnant herself. After her split from Orson, the show had a hard time finding Bree a worthy companion. First, she dated her much-younger contractor, Keith Brian Austin Green , with whom she had little in common but explosive sexual chemistry.
Bree then dated Chuck Jonathan Cake , a local cop. Gaby admitted that the victim was her stepfather with the intention of confessing to the murder so that she could claim self-defense, but Bree pretended to faint in order to force the court to go into recess.
Taking the wrap: Karen McCluskey took the stand as a witness but then shockingly confessed to the murder. Rocked: The false confession by Karen shocked everyone but all charges were dropped in the case as a result. Karen left her deathbed to attend the court claiming she wanted to be a witness, but she surprised everyone when she confessed to the murder once she was on the stand.
Lives are connected, people who care about each other. Rest in peace: Karen died a few days later with love of her life Roy by her side. Life is short: Roy made Tom realise he wanted to get back together with Lynette. Karen then explained how Gaby was abused by her stepfather before rocking the courtroom with her false confession, which saw Bree's charges dropped and none filed against Karen due to her declining health.
It came after the outcome for Bree looked bleak when Ben was put into jail overnight because he refused to answer questions about a suspicious phone conversation he had with Bree. Still in love: Tom and Lynette admitted their feelings for each other in an emotional moment. Cute couple: Bree and her lawyer Trip got together after a rough patch during the trial. Renee told the court she had witnessed Bree muddy and covered in leaves in the middle of the night while carrying a shovel on the night of the murder, which left Bree with little hope of being found not guilty by the jurors, until Karen saved the day.
A few days later Karen died peacefully with Roy by her side. It wasn't all doom and gloom however as Ben and Renee got married during the jam-packed two-hour episode. I do: Renee and Ben tied the knot although there were some dramas on the way to the ceremony.
Special day: Renee and Ben have had their troubles on the show but after a few hitches enjoyed a lovely wedding. After hearing Tom had broken up with his girlfriend Jane, Lynette thought Tom wanted her back, especially when he said he would be coming round to see her. But Lynette was left humiliated after dolling up only to be told by her estranged husband that he was going ahead with filing divorce papers.
New member of the family: Susan's daughter Julie gave birth to a healthy baby girl with her mother on hand. He told Lynette their problems 'were blocking me from seeing how much I love you.
